There are still a few adverts running so I have decided to let
this site run for the time being.
This 1989 Jedi Mk 1 is for sale. It has a
long wheelbase chassis, having been modified at the Jedi works. It was
modified to accept a Yamaha FZR 1040cc engine. This unit was built by Mark
Fisher and has not been used. It comes with a Dynajet carburettor
conversion, brand new K&N air filters and a billet clutch. It has a new
wiring harness, new fuel pump, new ignition box and much more. The project
has stagnated due to a lack of time. I am asking £5000.00 for the entire
package. This is a more than fair price as, although some work is required
to finish it, the cumulative value of the package far exceeds this figure.
PLEASE NOTE, I SHALL NOT FALL FOR SCAMS SUCH AS THOSE
INVOLVING PAYMENTS AND SHIPPING COMPANIES! I SHALL RELEASE THE VEHICLE
ONLY WHEN I AM SURE THE FUNDS ARE SECURE.
THE BEWLEY DIFF is shown in two images: one from the n/s & one from the o/s.
This is a self contained LSD, which allows easy chain tensioning, without the
use of shims.
The specially manufactured mounting plates are machined from H15 aluminium &
bolt to the chassis.
Also shown in these images are a brand new aluminium sprocket & one of 4 new
drive shafts.
All the components shown under ''Bewley Diff' have never been used.
THE BODYWORK is in very good order, but will require respraying for maximum
effect.
The nose section has seen two seasons, but a brand new spare comes with the car.
The side pods are in good condition & again there are two spares: a n/s & an
o/s.
The engine cover is new & unpainted.
Both the aluminium & the fibreglass undertrays are new, but unfitted.
The front side panels are original, but tidy.
The front & rear wings & supports are in excellent condition with only minor
scuffs.
THE BRAKING SYSTEM is to be uprated by transferring the front single pot
callipers to the rear to replace the existing drum system.
The front brakes will then become a 4 pot system with larger discs.
Braided hoses will connect the system.
The front brake components are new & unused as are the hoses.
THE WHEELS, which are shown in the image, are two of the new & never used
wheels, which are to form part of the car & are part of the complete set.
The front have 6 inch rims & the rear 10 inch.
THE TRAILER has been purpose built to provide total protection for the car & all
the spares to go racing.
Everything has it's place & is strapped, clipped or bolted into position.
We live in a country area, which has lots of narrow lanes & bridges.
For this reason, the trailer has been built like a caravan with 4 wheels, which
are totally underneath.
This provides an overall width of no more than the average car. It will
fit into an average size single garage!
Stability & ride height have been kept low by placing ramps over the wheels.
The car rides easily over these ramps & sits no higher than it would, were the
wheels located outside the trailer.
The rear door follows horsebox design & doubles as a part ramp for the car.
Permanent & hinged hardwood ramps extend the length of the door to reduce the
overall ramp angle & make one man loading easy.
The ramps fold on their hinges & store inside the trailer, when the car is
loaded.
An offside door is provided for access to enable easy loading & storage of
tyres, tools & spares.
Inside this door is a transverse shelf, which pivots to allow entry & removal of
the car,
It crosses the cockpit of the car & supports a large hard plastic box for
keeping things tidy, but will also store wheels.
Removal of the box is achieved simply by lowering a support flap & sliding the
box through the side door.
A racing jack rests under the car & is bolted & strapped to the floor.
The front wheels are located by fixed permanent professional quality transit
straps, which wrap round the tyres & are bolted to the chassis.
The rear suspension bolts through the floor to the chassis.
All doors are lockable.
A full lighting board is included.
The trailer is new & has been used on test only for perhaps 15 miles.
The entire trailer has been treated with the appropriate coatings &
preservatives including underseal over the underside.
